The United Nations Committee of Experts on Geospatial Information Management chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia held its consultative meeting on 8/8/2019 during the ninth meeting of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management in New York, United States of America.
The work of the Arab Committee and the technical working groups has been reviewed since the eighth meeting of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management in August 2018, as well as the preparations for the seventh meeting of the Arab Committee, which will be held, God willing, in People's Democratic Republic of Algeria - February 2020.
The meeting was attended by 29 participants from (11) Arab countries: People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Arab Republic of Egypt, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, State of Kuwait, Lebanese Republic, Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Kingdom of Morocco, Sultanate of Oman, kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Republic of Sudan, United Arab Emirates. A representative of the Statistical Center of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, the Director of the Secretariat of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management, and a number of international experts.
